Forbidden City

THE FORBIDDEN CITY

The City is based on an island, set off the Western Coast of Australia. Miraculously, it is hidden from mortal detection through various crafts thanks to the combined talents of the Empire. For all Supernaturals seeking to reach the City, there are only two options: Air (usually flights offered by the Empire as the City is hidden so well, even those with unnatural senses and abilities may not find it) or by Sea. Once within the Fortress of the City, the Supernatural will step into a world of immense Tribe diversity.

Set in the centre of the City stands the heart of the Fortress itself: The Imperial Palace. It is home to the Great Dragon Emperor, Micah (Xian` II) Li Loong who rules over The Shadow Empire. Within the palace, the House of Senate meet on a daily basis to discuss policies, problems and any differences or complications which may have arisen. The palace does not open to the public unless an invitation (or in some cases, a demand) by the Empire is extended.

The rest of the City however is a sanctuary to all citizens. Here, one can make a place for themselves in any of the Districts. One can join others of your particular Tribe or clan, or keep to one's solitude by purchase of a flat, house front and for others of the more rebellious nature, venturing deep underground amongst the Drug Lords and Triads. Some of the Supernaturals have even opened up franchise chains, thus creating a buzzing City life, even isolated as it is from the rest of the world. And rest assured, the City is self sufficient in Electricity and the import of Gas, Food, Water and other materials. Depending which part of the City one lives, the Supernatural can enjoy anything from a high classed life style of technology or luxury to the slums of poverty.

Oddly enough, despite its isolation from the rest of the world, the City is not scarce of mortals. A large majority of mortals that dwell there serve in the rich Vampire households, or else they are Mages, Witches, Shapeshifters, Sorcerors and Sorceresses in their own rights. Yet humans in the Forbidden City are wary of the Supernaturals and keep mostly to themselves (except for the brave or foolish!) and obey the early curfews. Children are tucked fast and early into their beds, often protected by Holy items to ward off any hungry Supernatural that might wander their way. Neither is it uncommon for the occasional boat of refugees or lost travellers to accidentally chance upon the Forbidden City. Unfortunately for these mortals, they will often be slaughtered promptly and of the scarce few that might survive, they will often be enslaved to a vampire household or to serve a Tribe or Master of some sort.

Of important note is the hot spot, #Club`Vampire. The Club is owned by the Prince of the City and nightly, Supernaturals meet to exchange news, chat and simply to enjoy themselves amongst the large Gothic youth patronage. Anyone who is anyone would know of Club Vampire and beware before stepping within. Some say that venturing within the Club has proven more fatal then entering the reputed House of Senate!
